I have a Sta-Rite Intellipro pump which is basically a Black Pentair Intelliflo.

I think I may have a tiny leak at the fitting connecting to the Pump Inlet. Currently it's plumbed with a Male 2" adaptor and then a few inches then a 2" Slip Union. It is too close to attach a male/slip union directly to the pump.

Anyway would using a Schedule 80 Male adapter be a better set up Vs Schedule 40, This is the second time I have had a small leak here.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yea thats what I was thinking... it seems like the Schedule 40 connector going into the pump seems to go bad- maybe from pressure- priming pressure and hot tub heat over time. And the teflon tape does nothing here..

Will go to schedule 80 CPVC for the connections.
