Best Test Kit to Buy??

Hi All,

Just joined the Forum and despite a couple of searches, was not able to find an answer to my question which is which test kit to purchase. My pool details are as follows:

Live in Toronto, so the pool is seasonal - has to be opened and closed each year
In ground vinyl lined pool - 65,000 litres
Salt-water pool

I think that's it.

Since you're in Canada, things get unnecessarily complicated.

If it were me, I'd call the Leslies Pool in Buffalo and see if they have this kit in stock. If they don't, I'd ask them to order me one, then make a day trip south of the border and pick it up.

Since you're in Canada your choices are limited. The Taylor K-2006 is the one to get. Whatever you get make sure it has the FAS-DPD chlorine test and not just the DPD test. It makes a difference.

Getting a K-2006 is the best thing available in Canada. Piscines Apollo Pools carries it.

Getting to Buffalo is no problem - I order parts for my car into there all the time..

Be prepared to pay a premium not only because Apollo is the only game in Canada, but the Canadian Postal Service is apparently stirking right now. This means that they are shipping everything by UPS and FedEx.
