    Sand Filter Pressure/Leak?

Sometimes when the pump comes on, water spurts out from the top of the sand filter where the screw/nut is on either side of the top of the filter. See attached pic. Is this a problem I need to fix or nothing to really worry about? This is the first season it has done this. My pool was installed in mid August of 2006.

Looks like you can tighten the split collar bolts a little. That's the first thing I'd try.
