What is the correct replacement of salt water cell?

My cell needs replacing it is about 6yrs old. It is a bio guard Mineral Springs
Cell 15. My pool is inground vinyl 16x 32 and holds approx 22,500 gallons.
When looking for a replacement some of them say will not work on older
cells.. and I am not sure exactly what will work.. Any knowledge will be
appreciated.

You want a T-Cell-15, which will work with older units. The T-Cell-3 and T-Cell-9 won't work with older units. The T-Cell-5 is also good, but if you had a 15 before you might as well stick with a 15. Note that they now sell the cells with two different warranty lengths.

Well the cell arrived today and I replaced it....but it is still not generating any chlorine...the box
reads minerals hi...I checked the salt and it is at 3,000...Now I am really at a lost....any suggestions?

Could you post a full set of water test results? It seems likely that the SWG is producing chlorine, but the chlorine is getting used up more quickly than it is being produced.
