Any advice on 2 speed pump vs. variable. Builder pushing to go with 2 speed. He says it is just as good and is less expensive to fix down the road. Any info or feedback is greatly appreciated.
I imagine that there is some truth to what he is saying. Those variables are nice but they are also $$$$. A two speed on low speed is a guaranteed money saver. Let's see what the pump experts have to say.
Unless you electric rates are over $0.20 per kwh, going with a two speed is a better deal. There is some truth to variable speed pumps costing more to repair than two speeds, but that isn't really a big deal as both are reasonably reliable.
