FC at 40. Too high for fiberglass?

I'm trying to kill algae. FC measured 40 this a.m. How high can I go before it damages fiberglass pool? Metal steps have not been installed yet.

SWG has been used along with bleach to get FC up. Usually SWG is on 5% for 5-7ppm. Can I leave it on 100% for 2 days to maintain high levels w/o hurting it?

With CYA that high you are fine, there isn't any risk of damage.

I don't think you'll damage the SWCG, but will reduce life of the cell...
I think most people shut it down and use bleach to shock
