Pool Stain

I just had my in ground gunite pool redone this week. The person that did it replaced the screw for the light with a non stainless steel screw. I now have a stain above the light. I have replaced the screw with a stainless steel one, but any suggestions on how to get rid of the stain?

Second question, I have a Palagon Light in the pool that doesn't work and has never worked since I bought the house (7 yrs). Are their any brands that fit a Palagon light base, it is 10" light and 3 1/2" thick? I looked up a Palagon light and was told it is $1,300, way out of my price range.

I don't know about the light, but you can remove the stain by holding a sock with several vitamin C tablets in it against the stained area for about a minute.

Thank you, I will give that a shot. Hate to sound stupid, but do I just get the Vitamin C tablets at a pool store or any other store?

I bought mine at Walgreens. Store brand.
