When we were doing baquacil we added Endure, a borate to the pool. We did not drain when we did our conversion. I have some older borate test strips and it reads that I still have a borate reading of 50.
Can I assume that the borate level is fairly accurate. From what I understand the only way to get rid of borates is to drain and add water, so the conversion should not have eliminated them from our water.
