multiport repair ?

recently was given a Hayward sandfilter setup with a 1hp pump but the multiport (Vari-Flo XL Valve SP-0714T) but the port is stuck in filter
mode, hard to turn, won't backwash... is it easy enough to replace gasket's oring's and such or would it be simpler to shell out the 75.00 at amazon
and buy a new one. thanks for any help

It's easy and relatively cheap to replace the o-rings and gasket in the multiport. Just remove the screws, Pull the top off and take it with you to the pool store, or order them online.
