What is the best way and or most cost effective way to lower my ph? My neighbors use muriatic acid from home depot. $11 for 2 gal. But I noticed there are some powder forms out there as well. Is one better than the other? If it matters. We have a 20k gal ig pool with krystalkrete finish. Everything new last fall incase something is safer on new plaster

Thanks in advance

Muriatic acid is the most economical and efficient way of lowering your pH. The powders that are available out there are considerably more expensive ounce per ounce and add extras in the pool that may not be so good for the water or pool surfaces over time. The large majority of folks here use muriatic acid for pH lowering purposes.
