Expected Free Chlorine Loss

I live in South Arkansas and we're getting 85-92 degree sunny days right now. My 17,500 gallon fiberglass pool has a CYA of 50. What is a reasonable daily FC loss? I'm losing around 3ppm a day and that seems excessive to me. What do you think?

Lots of heat, sunlight, and organics would account for that amount of loss. Like dmanb2b mentioned, you want to make sure that you pass the overnight FC loss test just to be sure there isn't anything lingering in there.
