    thank you TFP!

i'm a total newbie. what sets me apart from your average newbie is that i spent 2 months reading this site. i went from green pond with 2 dead chipmunks to a crystal clear water in a matter of two days and with minimal effort! the hardest part was cover clean-up!

knowledge is power and this site is full of it!!

thank you everyone to educating me and taking mystery out of pool maintenance. thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

now if only FC level would go down so i could go swimming! and testing high levels of CL is expensive - the re-agent gets used quick. now i only test to 10 ppm (40ppm CYA) to save it
