Hi,

We had drained the pool to power wash it and clean it up. Then it rained for 3 days. I vaguely remembered something about the hydrostatic valve then forgot about it. Then it rained again for a couple of days. The pool has now been empty for about a week and a half. Today I think I saw new crackes in the cool decking. The rain is unseasonal for the area but its here. We just finished washing and cleaing it up today and I need to get some patch for the really bad spots until I can do the resurface next year. I'm going to finish this project tomorrow with some fast set patch. Should I open the valve first or just patch and refill PDQ? I'm in Sacramento CA area.

Thanks and I hope my pool is not going to be a boat in the am.
