Update on my Algae fight.

It has been almost a week. The pool turned from bright green to dull green grayish. I am keeping the chlorine high but I have had a lot of rain.

I took a sample to the pool store, here are the results.

FAC =2.5
TAC =2.5
PH =7.5
TA =80
CYA =0
TDS =1200
Phosphates =300

I added 2.5lbs of Conditioner by “Leslie’s”. It states it is 99% Cyanuric acid.

Has your FC been adjusted to "shock" value for the CYA you added? FC of 2.5 won't get you there.

I believe I have however I am not sure. I am shocking morning and night per "BBB" post.

The only way you can be sure you are shocking is to be able to ensure you are at shock level, via testing. Investing in a good test kit will save you money in the end. Not sure which "BBB" post you are speaking of but here is a link to our shocking instructions and a guide on kits....Good luck
