How to low PH without low ALK?

I am newbie here...HI everyone.


Yesterday I tested my water and ALK very low (0.46) i added 19lb baking soda now my alk is 0.95 But the problem is PH is 8.6 today. My question is how do i low my ph without lower alk? i am thinking add some acid but this we lower both PHP and ALK. any suggestion?

Another question are how do i raise alk with out increase ph? or how do i increase ph without increase alk?

Reading through Pool School will tell you how to raise TA without raising ph very much.

That aquachek "test" is in error. Your TA should be in whole digits in increments of 10.....120, 110, 80, etc.
