OK you-all .... we've seen our beautiful sparkling pools. How about a "Worst of the Worst" swamp pictures? (wish I had taken a few pix prior to the BBB treatment).
Winner winner chicken dinner... I may not be allowed to play because I'm a pool guy and get to see just about anything, but here goes one of my most memorable:
This will always stick out in my mind. Forget frogs, forget skeeters, back-swimmers and polliwogs...
I ran my 7-gallon net along the bottom and pulled up a net FULL of black & brown gooey goopey goo. I plopped the goop onto the deck, and as it slowly flattened out... the WHOLE pile started to CRAWL away! Living in the mud/muck were THOUSANDS of 1 1/2" aquatic insects (stoneflies, I think).
It took over 40 gallons of chlorine and 10-days to clear. On the 1st and 2nd SC, the top of the water was covered so thick with these dead insects (and frogs and pollywogs) you couldn't see the water beneath them.
My father in law specifically told me, he will never swim in another pool after being in mine.
It's great to not have to deal with the green anymore thanks to BBB.
