How about a "Nasty Pool" contest ...

OK you-all .... we've seen our beautiful sparkling pools. How about a "Worst of the Worst" swamp pictures? (wish I had taken a few pix prior to the BBB treatment).

Winner winner chicken dinner... I may not be allowed to play because I'm a pool guy and get to see just about anything, but here goes one of my most memorable:

This will always stick out in my mind. Forget frogs, forget skeeters, back-swimmers and polliwogs...

I ran my 7-gallon net along the bottom and pulled up a net FULL of black & brown gooey goopey goo. I plopped the goop onto the deck, and as it slowly flattened out... the WHOLE pile started to CRAWL away! Living in the mud/muck were THOUSANDS of 1 1/2" aquatic insects (stoneflies, I think).

It took over 40 gallons of chlorine and 10-days to clear. On the 1st and 2nd SC, the top of the water was covered so thick with these dead insects (and frogs and pollywogs) you couldn't see the water beneath them.

Here's the pool when I was done:

~45Kg Pool with attached Spa, NSP-72 DE, Minmax 400 Heater, Tahoe Blue Pebbletech, Jandy SWG via Aqualink RS-8, The Pool Cleaner (black)
Pumps: X3 Hybrid Pump (switches to SPA), 2HP Spa (additional, when SPA is on), and a 1HP For Waterfall
8, 4x12 Solar Panels on the roof of the pool-house (~12' up)
CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK: "I'M SORRY. I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF HOW AWESOME I AM" (Thanks to TFP!)

My father in law specifically told me, he will never swim in another pool after being in mine.
It's great to not have to deal with the green anymore thanks to BBB.
