Water level drop - what is normal?

I've had my pool for 2 weeks now.

During that period, the water leve has dropped by about an inch. There was little to no rain, but it was not excessively hot either (75f during the day, 55f at night).

Should I be worried about that or is this normal?

With splashout and evaporation, that's reasonable. There are many variables to evaporation: Temperature difference between the water and air, humidity, wind and use of a cover.

I did heat the pool to about 80 degrees for the first week, so that may be a factor. No cover on the pool during that period.
