What do you think about this setup?

My neighbor is getting a quote on a inground vinyl pool and this is the equipment what do you think:

Jandy 1.5 HP pump
Jandy 60sqft DE filter
Jany Heater 325 btu
Aqua Pure SWG

The pool will be a 16 X 32 Grecian.

What do you think of the quality of the Jandy equipment as well as the sizing of the pump compared to the filter size.

well i have never tried jandy, but i hear they are very good quality, i have a 1.5 hp for my pool and it does just fine, set it and forget it is how it works, not sure on the heater, but what is the depth, the amount of water makes a huge difference on all of this.

They will have a 8 ft deep end so I am thinking they are going to have betwen 18 and 20 thousand gallons.

Pump seems a bit large for a pool without a spa. I would go with a 3/4 HP unless there is a specific reason for the larger pump. If so, then I would go with a two speed.

That is what I was thinking on the pump size, I have the same size pol with a spill over spa and it uses a 1 hp northstar pump. To have a 1.5 hp for no reason just seems to be a waste.
