borax before or after AA stain elimination

Battled the brown stains with AA, looked wonderful, used a metal sequistering agent and all was good for about 5 days, right until the green alge started.
Had to shock to get alge under control. water is now balanced, Should I AA again or add borax/acid first then drop cl levels to add the AA?

Adding borax and acid can cause large swings in the PH, which can cause stains to appear. Thus, it is best to add borax/acid before doing an AA treatment. Give it three days after adding borax before starting the AA treatment.
