Choosing a SWG system

We are considering installing an SWG system. We currently have a Pentair FNS Plus DE filter, and our pool company wants to sell us the Pentair Intellechlor. Does anyone have any insight about this particular brand/model as far as ease of use, duration of cell, etc.? Can't find too many reviews online. Any recommendations on a different brand? Thanks!

Welcome to TFP!

The Pentair IntelliChlor is reasonably good, but it has some disadvantages if you don't have a Pentair automation system. Without the automation system it can only be set to multiples of 20%, which means wasting a fair bit of cell life.

Take a look at the CompuPool and AquaRite units. CompuPool is relatively inexpensive, and AquaRite is comparatively well reviewed.
