A friend of my parents says he gets a guy to come over, after the pool was shocked, puts some "product"(hard metal)and that is it. The pool is maintenance free for the rest of the summer. All that for 75$. He says the only thing he needs to add when the water gets hazy is some bleach. BBB Method or scam?

Perhaps he just needs is a test kit and doesn't know it. I don't think I'd let my kids swim in his pool.
I don't know what "hard metal" will sanitize all summer long, maybe a silver ingot? And for $75? Maybe I should re-evaluate the price of silver...

Maybe he dropped a Pool RX in the pump basket and told him it's good to go all summer... haha but yeah it's a scam.
