My numbers are where I want them except my ph keeps creeping up.Right now the pool calculator tells me to use 84oz of muriatic to bring ph fro 8.4 to 7.8.

My concern is......I've been adding muriatic acid since getting balanced.Does muriatic acid ever reach a point where water needs to be drained?Like when the cya was too high?

I just don't want to have to do anymore draining and replacing water if I can avoid it.

Muriatic acid doesn't build up. It will never reach a point where you need to do anything about it. The most you'll ever have to do is if you add enough to lower your TA too much you may have to throw some baking soda in there. I doubt that'll happen very often though.

its normal for pH to climb some- especially if your TA is a little high; over time you'll reach a balance where it will keep rising but not as fast!
