    Sungrabber Aboveground Solar Panel System

We have an AGP-Oval 16x24=12K gal ? Live on Long Island.

We are looking to heat our pool this season. It was so nice yesterday that we actually opened the pool. Of course the water is very cold.
We'd like to be swimming in a week or two and wonder if these solar systems actually work.. They claim to raise temp some 7-10 degrees.
We're not diciplined to put a cover on everyday, plus I like to see the water. It's either this, or we go with a heat pump. Trying to keep cost down and temps up.
    Thank you!

They do indeed work. Covering the pool at night makes a large difference, but they can still work even if you don't do that. The more panels you have the more heat you get.

A heat pump is more reliable, works even when it is cloudy for several days in a row, but in the long run it costs way way more.

I prefer the one peice 4x20 solar bear by Fafco panels vs.s the sungrabber comes in 2 2x20 panels. We run 2 solar bear 4x20 panels about 70 miles north of you, using a solar cover every evening in May and Sep, and on cool nights in the summer. Water temps of 78+ have been easy to maintain.
