When you are installing the mosaics are these steps correct?
1. Put some very soupy cement looking mixture down with a brush sort of like waterproofing...What is that?
2. Float the floor with portland and sand to create a flat base for the thinset/tile
3. Looks like the smaller tile uses 3/16" trowel with white thinset that is safe for underwater applications. Mapei special mix that was 24 bux for a 20 lb bag...
Questions.....What is the soupy liquid they put down and let dry around 10 minutes and then put the portland mix as the base?
What is the overall height needed to be for the plaster to surround the area flush if using quartzscape product.
