Just opened the pool this weekend. Took the cover off and this is what I found.

Followed the very simple and wonderful advice in this forum and this was the easiest pool opening EVER.

Speaking of management, pool numbers:

FC: 5 - liquidator up and running.
CC: 0
TC: 5 - measured after 24 hour pump run.
TA: 70
Ph: 8.2 - YIKES!
CH: 350
CYA: 20
Borates: 30
Temp: 70 degrees



all in all Im very happy at those numbers.

You probably know this but PH is high and CYA is low. I would also raise borates, even though it is alright where it is, it will tend to go down over the course of the pool season.

Lucky for me the pool came with the house we bought so I didnt have to shell out the dough. Yeah, I've said that a few times. Wasn't pretty.
