Water Depth Below Waterfall from Spa?????

Sorry I dont have pictures for this but here goes.....

I'm having a 7.5' spa with a waterfall (18" drop) flowing over into my pool. My concern is this water will be flowing into a very shallow part of my pool, roughly 8-10".

Is the constant pounding of the water going to hurt the plaster? How deep would it need to be? Would extra steel help strengthen??

That water will actually be flowing pretty gently and with 8 to 10" of water under it you'll be fine. It won't hurt the plaster.
