TDS meter accurate as salt strips (same price)?

Not satisfied with my hardly ever working Aquatrol and dancing salt #s. They never match the test strips, so feel like I need a 3rd confirmation test.

For 5 mintues yesterday, all three matched. At least I think I know what I need to do to get the salt level at the optimal level now.

While salt is usually the major component of the TDS it's not the only component so there are times where the TDS will be higher than the salt level. As long as you account for that you can use it as a reality check.
