It seems non of my return jets are working. Also my PSI is now at 0. Did i do something wrong? This is my first time backwashing...

Did you get the pump primed again? It can take a minute or so sometimes. Does the pump sound different?
i left it for 5 minutes.. nothing happened.. the air release on the top of the PSI gauge.. Should I leave that open or closed?

To answer your question on your air release...
When I backflush mine, once I get it back to "clean" mode, I let it come up to pressure then bleed off the air in the filter. I believe this to be correct, but I am ok with being corrected by those with more experience than I have (won't take much!) So it should be closed during getting everything back to pressure, open if you need to bleed off air, then closed again.

I usually open the air bleeder before I start the pump after backwashing. Seems to work fine doing it this way.
