The EcoStar is a little more energy efficient at low speeds. The IntelliFlo has been around longer and has a very solid track record, while the EcoStar is new this year. Either one is far more efficient than a single or dual speed pump. If you are getting an automation system, there are advantages to getting a pump of the same brand as the automation system.
