Please recommend an AGP heater

Let's strike while the wife says, "go for it". She has no stamina for research and shopping around, even when I'm the one doing it, so we need to act quickly.

I'm in Southeastern, PA and don't want solar. We have electric at the pool and could also run gas if needed.

Please look at my stats for my pool setup in my signature and please recommend:

1 - A heater by fuel / energy type

2 - a brand

3 - size of course

4 - Is something less than $1,000 plausible?

A gas heater would be around 700 for a 100,000 BTU plus the gas line cost last time i had gas ran it was $1200, but that was converting from oil to a gas furnace.
A heat pump heater will run about $3000
The gas will cost more to run but will heat the pool quicker so you could use it to heat the pool up in days when you want it and not run it other times.
I have a heat pump, as I am surrounded by trees and the heat pump maintains the pool temp for me

Thanks. Gas is looking like the option, especially since we get good sun and my father-in-law is certified to run gas. We hooked up 33,000 BTU space heater in the basement and it was a breeze.

One thing to keep in mind. While, gas heaters are convenient and relatively inexpensive to install, they do cost a fair bit to run. You could easily spend $80-100/month running the heater.
