I recently replaced my Hayward Northstar pump. It has a 2HP, 2 speed motor and although I believe I wired it exactly like the old one it is running at low speed. Anyone know how to change it to high speed?
I take it that your old pump was also a two speed?
The same model pump from the same manufacturer can occasionally have different motors, or be using an updated motor design. You should double check the wiring diagram, which will appear on the outside of the motor, and make sure they haven't moved the terminals around somehow.
