    getting plaster off of flagstone

Ok, pool was re-plastered last week, seems as the crew was a tad sloppy, some areas of my flagstone coping have white residue/plaster on it. What is best way to remove? Power sprayer, scrub brush, chemicals etc., thanks!!

The best way to remove it is to call the plaster crew back and have them remove it. Barring that I'd chip off as much as I could and then post back how much that helped.

Plaster crew has been back several times, they just still cant seem to remember to get it all off..... I would prefer at this point to do it myself so I know it is done right. Any tips would be great, this is more of the plaster dust, not think plaster like on the pool shell, just a mess on the coping.

couldn't you just spray it with muriatic acid and let it sit for a min and hose it off?

Acid could damage the coping, depending on the exact composition.

What type of flagstone is it?

depends on how you cut/dilute it and how long you let it sit

Oklahoma flagstone, acid does leave a mark on it (prep crew damaged a bit)

That's why I didn't mention using acid as it's most likely going to leave a spot no matter how dilute you make it. Try a Magic Eraser or a piece of Scotch Brite. They'll be a lot of work but they won't harm your stone.
