Hi,

I'm wondering if a pump/filter for an inground pool would work with our pool. We would be able to put it near the house, hence save money on running the electric and gas lines. Just a thought!!! Has anyone done this? Would we run into problems in the future from doing this (having to spend more money)? If we're better off doing the ag pump/filter, thats fine, just looking for opinions.

Thanks in advance.

You can use an IG pump for an AG pool but usually it is not very cost effect. AG pumps tend to cost less and be more efficient than IG pumps of the same size. Was there a specific reason you wanted to get an IG pump?

Yes, We are planning on getting a heater, but our estimates for gasline was $1300 and electrical was $725. We just thought we could save some money by having everything up by the house.
