I need to figure out what type of Polaris I have and there are no model numbers on the unit itself only a serial number on the back. I'm trying to decide whether I want to rebuild this one or get a new pool cleaner. I'm coming up on three years with this house and the polaris came with it, but never did seem to work right for me. I've already paid to have it repaired once. I'd like to either rebuild it myself or just get something else like 'The Pool Cleaner" Pressure Side cleaner.

Call Polaris Technical Support at 800-822-7933. If you provide them with the serial number, they can tell you what model you have.
take a pic of it, and then post it here and I'll tell you the model if I reconize it
Look in the throat of the cleaner.
1 jet hole = Polaris 180
2 jet holes = Polaris 280
3 jet holes = Polaris 380 or Polaris 360 (The 380 requires a booster pump and the 360 does not.)
