galvanized steel walls or other?

I'm new to this forum and new to inground pools (we have been using one of those 14 ft x 4 ft round ones for the past three years and it's time to upgrade!). We are planning on a vinyl inground pool build this spring. We live in NW Georgia with acidic soil. One PB told me not to go with galvanized steel walls because the acid in soil will cause the steel to deteriorate. Anyone know anything about this? What other kinds of walls are there? Thanks so much!

Welcome to TFP!!

The other option I know about is 'polymer plastic' walls. Being used to steel walls, they were a little different to install but, a viable choice if you have acidic or saline soil.

If the acidic soil issue is true, going with the plastic walls would be fine.

Sorry it took me so long to reply
