Pretty sure you may get a quicker response if you follow the published forum etiquette :goodjob:

Forum Etiquette
The following is general forum etiquette that all members are asked to follow. While you may not get banned for not following these guidelines, we ask that all members do their best to comply as doing so will make for a more enjoyable group experience as well as creating less work for the moderators.

Before posting a question (especially if it seems that it may be a common question), please use the search feature on the forum. Simply type in what you are looking for and click search. There's a good chance your question has already been asked and answered. Habitual disregard for forum etiquette may also result in a suspension of your account.
No double posting. Double posting is posting the same post more than once in the same thread, or in multiple threads and forums. Asking your question in more than one area will not result in a faster response.
No hijacking another poster's topic. Hijacking a topic occurs when a new poster asks about his problems in a thread already opened by another poster seeking help. If you have a unique problem, start your own thread. (see rule #1)
Please do not PM the mods, admins or individuals with pool care questions. Posting on the forum will give your question greater exposure and the answer can benefit more than just one person.
Move highly technical sub-discussions into the 'Deep End' forum. We try to keep the general areas at a level the average reader will find useful.
When posting, try to post in the area that best matches your topic. You'll get the attention of those best able to help. Remember, "The Coffee Bar" and other areas are available for non-pool related topics.
Please follow the normal rules for public writing. Avoid the use of fragmented sentences, typing in all lower case letters or in all caps, and frequent spelling errors. We don't expect perfection, but it only takes a moment to proof read and use a spell checker. When making a long post, please use paragraphs to break up the text as this makes it much easier for others to read.
No animated / flashing avatars or signatures will be allowed. Too many on a page is distracting.
There are no stupid questions - that is how we learn!

I do not think most of us that have read your post understand exactly what you are looking for? Is this for the entire pool, or last few steps in the pool, etc.

In terms of durability Quartzscape is a good finish, better than straight plaster, but not as good as pebble. Different people prefer different looks, so there isn't any absolute way to pick who has the "best" appearance, but for most people Quartzscape falls in between plaster and pebble here as well.

As with any pool finish, the skill and reliability of the installer is extremely important. Get references and check them. A bad installer can cause major problems, while a top notch installer can make even a plain finish look amazing.
