Automatic Water Leveler

Has anyone use any of these products? They are the little boxes that hang over the side of the pool and connect to a hose to keep the water level at a certain level?

It's still hot here and evaporation is causing a problem. I'm going away for a weekend and I don't want the pump to start pumping air if the water level drops.

Thought about it but found that my evaporation rate drops to nearly nothing if I keep it covered with the solar blanket when not using it.

I live in central/northern california, and I have found an automatic leveler to be a lifesaver. The aftermarket ones, like what you mentioned, are a little ugly, but they can really help. A cover on the pool will help a lot as well, but they can be a lot of hassle. Using both would be ideal.
