Thread: Aqua Rite cell metal piece

    Aqua Rite cell metal piece

I have the Aqua Rite SWG with the 40k cell. When I was removing the cell to clean it over the weekend, this piece fell out. Can anyone tell if it's from the cell itself (which means it's under warranty) or from the heater? It is a metal that looks like copper and is 1.25 inches long. My cell is less than about 2.5 years old. Thanks!

    It's not from the cell.

I agree it looks like copper.

What kind of heater and how old is it?

I have the Hayward H400ID heater. Not sure exactly how old, but probably about 10 years old. I glanced at the schematics for it and didn't see anything obvious.

AT first glance it looks like the end off of a temp sensor but it also looks like a pin of some sort.
