Jandy Aqualink Weird Problem

Came back from a trip out of town and noticed the spot on my PDA that used to say solar now says "heat pump"?

Systems detects the solar sensor, but the "Solar" option is no longer on the menu.

The system still turns the solar 3 way valve open and closed but it no longer detects heat differential and is always open or always closed at least until it hits the temp set.

Any ideas? Maybe the battery in the main unit which reads low according to the pda.

Thanks guys.

It could be a program that is ghosting from when the Jandy tested the board before shipping... Possible somebody else has a PDA on the same channel and is either messing with you or programmed their PDA.. I would do a master reset and change the channel on the PDA.. The battery in the PDA doesn't do awhile lot it's just suppose to help hold programs when there is a power loss..

Ill try a master reset.

Heres another interesting thing-

In the setup menu under "solar priority" if you click through it to enable/ disable- the next menu reads- "heat pump priority" enable disable.

Here's what happens:

NORMALLY, to get the heat pump options to show up, you need to hook up a 2.2k ohms resistor in the solar sensor sockets. If you actually have a solar sensor hooked up, test it. They are 10k ohms sensors. If for some reason the sensor is failing or not displaying the proper temperature... or in your case your system says you now have a heat pump, you may want to replace it.

This bit applies to AquaLink PDA systems only.
