    cracked, broken concrete above pool skimmer

    Hope I have placed this question in the correct forum..

    I have one skimmer for my pool and at the deck level above it there is concrete with a metal grate in it for access. Over the years, this concrete has begun to crumble and break away exposing the rebar underneath. Big chunks are now missing causing a minor safety hazard for swimmers who are maybe not careful where they step. Looking for some repair ideas before I get a bunch of contractors out for bids. The challenge as I see it is directly below this concrete is pool water and I suppose that I could drain a little water out but would appreciate your ideas as to the proper approach to replacing this piece of concrete. Can provide photos if I have not been descriptive enough. Many Thanks!

    It sounds like a reasonably simple fix for a good masonry person. A few good pics would be very helpful.
