Salt Water Chlorine Conversion

I'm looking to replace my pool pump and filter plus convert to a SWG system. Currently, I have a Hayward Micro Clear DE-4800 Pump/Filter and the Hydramax II Inground Pool Pump (which is making a horrible grinding noise while it's running). I have the Polaris 380 with a boost pump as well.

I don't believe I need to replace everything above, however, I'm thinking at a minimum I would like to replace the pump and convert to a SWG system. Anyone have some recommendations?

Appreciate any comments. Thanks!

In order to give you a proper list, we would need to know more.

What size is the pool?
What size is the plumbing?
Is there a heater?
How old is the pool?
Liner, Concrete, or fiberglass?
Attached spa?

The concrete pool size is 38' x 17' according to the pool permit drafted in 1972. It's a 27,500 gallon pool with no heater although there is a gas valve there as if they had one at one time. There is no spa. There is 2" plumbing already going from pump to filter.

Thanks very much.
