Installation of SWG with existing automatic chlorinator

We're converting our aboveground pool to saltwater, bought an Intex SWG. We have an existing automatic chlorinator. My husband spoke to someone at Intex before we bought it, and he remembers they told him to keep the chlorinator, that we might still use it if the chlorine levels fall. We're wondering, then, if the SWG hooks into the line before or after the existing chlorinator. Does anyone have any diagrams they could share on installation?

Thanks!

Keeping your existing chlorinator is often a good idea. You might not use it very much, but something could come up, so it is worth keeping around.

You want the SWG either last or right before the existing chlorinator. Last is best, but if there is something constraining where you put it, then before the chlorinator is alright. "Last" in this context means that the output hose/pipe from the SWG should be returning water to the pool without going through anything else on it's way.
