Moving arrows in Forum are a distraction

The new moving arrows next to topics looks cool but unfortunately they are a distraction and make reading the titles difficult. I used to be a web developer and one of the things frowned upon was having anything moving on the page. It is great for advertising since your eye tends to drift toward moving objects. But in the case of normal reading it could be a big distraction especially when it is next to what you are trying to read.

I completely agree. The animation came along with the most recent update, and I have now removed it,

Sorry to say, but I still see them moving on the new post page. Of course I haven't logged out and back in.

If they are still moving, you must have the old image cached. A force reload usually takes care of it, or wait a couple of days.

Or just read the topic and next time you log on... the arrows are staying still (like good little arrows should )

My little arrows (like waste's) are holding perfectly still just as Jason has instructed them to do......I wish my kids were so obedient!!

Mine fixed themselves overnight. The lawn, however, did not and still needs to be mowed. Can you help me with that, Jason?!

Just an FYI for those using the Firefox browser. Hitting the ESC key while viewing a page will stop animated GIF files dead in their tracks. I often use it to stop the flashing "New Post" icons.
