Ascorbic acid washing and doing some repairs

I am going to be doing a ascorbic acid wash to remove the stains and draining the pool 3/4. I would like to repair the "chips" in the plaster... Any suggestion on a product to use, also any suggestions about the crystal growth on the tile grout on the seat and stairs?
