New to the forum. Had a pool installed July of 2008 after getting rid of our Sea Ray cruiser. Loved boating, but it became too much work after many years. Love the pool, when you are ready to be done, you just go inside. Love it. Hope to learn more about keeping the stains away and controlling the chemical use. I think I like this borax idea.....

Thanks. Quick question. What would be the best way to keep the pool cooler during the late summer? When the pool gets over 90, it just isnt too refreshing. We usually keep the cover closed unless we are in it due to all of the wildlife in our area. We live in the country.
Evaporation is about all you can do short of getting a heat pump that will cool the water. Leaving the cover off and running a fountain at night can help.
