Lets here your diatribe on pavers and safety covers? I need a good fairy tail before bed, LOL

As I said, ive got an anchor in pipe loop-loc with 3 feet of snow onright now and its holding just fine. Pipes 2 feet into compacted processed gravel. It aint goin' no place. I guess if its not installed correctly....

I just dont want mx702 to think a safety cover on pavers is a bad thing, thats all.

bk, you had an installer who knows their sXXX - stuff!

However, do you know that your cover is NOT a true safety cover (I didn't think so :P )

I think that we should continue this in this area

As I've said, I truly appreciate your input here, but I think I need to tell you why you're wrong on this one

Yea, i think your all wrong on this one, ted. Sorry, but yea, i dont agree. Show me an ASTM document or UL test data that says otherwise and I'll pay attention.

    Re: Safety Covers and Pavers

According to the LoopLoc FAQ, item 19, properly installed anchor in pipe safety covers are acceptable and presumably meet their safety standards. I can see how a safety cover installed on a paver deck could very easily be done wrong, but done correctly it should be just fine.

    OK, I stand corrected

I KNOW, I've seen the disclaimer about having 'more than ~5% of the anchors be tubes or 'wood deck anchors' voiding the safety part of the cover. However, I've never installed a "LoopLock" cover... perhaps theirs are more tolerant of the 'lawn tubes'

Right or wrong, I'm simply trying to help the folks here with my current knowledge (and I learn more here, almost daily )
