I have a white plaster pool. The floating chlorine dispenser cap broke and chlorine tablets fell to the bottom of the pool and let a 2 ft by 5 ft brown stain on the bottom. What is the best way to clean this or will it just go away?

Try placing a vitamin C tablet on the stained area for a minute or two and see what it does. If it clears up the stain then you can use more Vitamin C to remove the entire stain.
Do you know if the chlorine tablets were trichlor or cal-hypo? If that doesn't mean anything to you, can you tell us the main ingredient in the chlorine tablets?
