We received a few estimates for mesh safety covers-Loop-Loc and Meyco. They both state that winter chemicals and plugs are not included. How much can we expect to pay for these? And does anyone have input on Meyco (we aren't familiar with that brand). Thanks for your help.

Winter chemicals are just a scam where pool stores package normal pool chemicals and get you to buy them. Make sure the pool is in good shape for pH with no CC. Shock the pool a few days before you plan to close, and if you like add polyquat the night before you close. Probably about four gallons of antifreeze for about $12.
For plugs, you need a gizmo for each skimmer, and a plug for each return. Probably no more than $20 or $25 dollars.
Meyco is a good brand.
