Fitting a solar pool cover & roller to a freeform pool?

So we just built a 12.5m long free form pool, the width varies between 5m at each end to 2.5 in the middle.

Legally to fill it we had to get a solar cover, but due to its shape having difficulty fitting it. I've cut out the basic shape but we can't get the roller to work well because of the shape...How can we make it work? Currently its fitted at one end, however i was wondering whether fitting it in the middle would work? I've seen it done once...but not sure how successfully.

Has anyone got the same issue?

I think fitting in the middle would work well. I know on my round pool the roller works well in the middle. If the roller is wider than the widest part of the pool you can just roll it past the end when rolled up.
